Get to know me

Hi! My name is Edward Wagner. I grew up in North Wildwood, NJ and went to primary and secondary school in a small town outside of Philadelphia, PA. I am currently a senior at Kean University and am a double major of English and Education. I hope to teach high school English. I come from a family of teachers, including my sister, 3 of my cousins, 3 of my aunts, my uncle and my grandfather.

In the summer, I work at the YMCA as a summer camp counselor for 3-5 year olds. I also work as a butler for Brandywine Senior Living and I work seasonally to make greens and wreaths for Christmas time at Penny’s Flowers. I used to work in the Office of Management and Marketing at Kean as a desk representative before the plague.

I am a big hockey and baseball fan (GO FLYERS & GO PHILLIES). I collect baseball hats and have a collection of about 100 at this point. I like to do crossword puzzles and knit (I am an old man at heart). I have 4 dogs (Bella, Cassie, Noah & Tito), a cat (Leo) and tortoise (Toby). My favorite book is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. I am a volunteer firefighter at Edge Hill Fire Company as part of the Abington Township Fire Department in Abington, PA.

First Day Intro

Our first day of class was as I had anticipated (exciting and instructional). After being part of the M.A program for almost 2 years now, I am at a stage now where returning to classes feels like returning to a favored and missed cult, or even a second family. Coming together again with our mother and director of our M.A program reminded me of what it’s to come in this new Fall semester. I felt excitement not only because I knew what I would be getting myself into, but also because I would be learning about new material I am still in need to further master (Electronic Literature). I’m actually glad that this course is part of our program, since it is a type of literature that is very popular nowadays, and further learning about it will benefit me a great deal. I’ll be looking forward to learn about this material from our beloved instructor, since I feel she is perhaps the most appropriate person to teach us about E-Lit, and the many things surrounding it.

Introduction

Hi everyone, Teethee here!

I am twenty-six years old, a middle school Language Arts teacher, and about half way through Graduate school, hooray!

I am from Jersey City, born and raised, and I am also lucky enough to be a teacher in my hometown. I work five minutes away from home; it’s literally incredible.

I am the youngest of three, currently the only one living at home with my parents. I had to replace both my siblings since they decided to ditch my parents and me, so I got a dog and a turtle.

I joined this program because I always wanted to be an adjunct professor, and maybe if I enjoy it, I’ll end up getting my Ph.D., who knows!

I am excited about this class. See you all Wednesday!
